hello there,

(8a^5 b^6 / 3c^4) / (4a^5 b^2 / 6c^3)
= 8*6*a^5b^6c^3 / 3*4*a^5b^2c^4
= 4*a^(5-5)b^(6-2)c^(3-4)
= 4a^0b^4c^-1
= 4b^4c^-1 or 4b^4/ c

Hope this helps

Cheers,
-Steff

(8a^5 b^6 / 3c^4) / (4a^5 b^2 / 6c^3) can be rewritten as

(8a^5 b^6 / 3c^4) * (6c^3 / 4a^5 b^2) or, better still

(8a^5 b^6 * 6c^3) / (3c^4 * 4a^5 b^2)

Cancelling out you are left with

(2 * b^4 * 2) on the top and just c on the bottom, ie

4b^4 / c

Just edited to the right answer 'cos my handwritten working was messy and I messed up when typing it.
