Never been asked that before...Took a few minutes to think it through.

You know, I think I'd be grateful that I actually had four minutes. I've lost friends who had no warning -- or maybe just a second or two; just long enough to know it was over and this was It.

You can do a lot of thinking in four minutes. I think I'd go lie down on my bed and shut my eyes and try to shut out the sounds of the sirens -- in my city they test them every month (first Wednesday at noon) -- so I've heard them before...

I'd breathe and try to appreciate what's happening. It all ends, and now it's ending for me -- and I won't be alone. That's what I hope I will think.

Fear? No. What's the point of being afraid? The new adventure -- whatever it is -- is soon to begin, and all those questions and arguments of life are about to be answered. One way or another.

And to pass away while at rest -- in my own bed -- what a blessing!

If I were somewhere else, I'd do my best to avoid the panic around me and find somewhere to just be alone or (if lucky) with a friend. Hug eachother close, close eyes of tears and touch foreheads and whisper and wait...

Peace...

4 minute warning for what....running for cover, leaving a job, saying someone from a burning house, helping drag someone from their car in an accident, 4 minutes to use CPR?

Remember New Orleans?...the water rose in 8 minutes. 8 minutes is not enough time to do anything, let alone 4 minutes. I think for the tsunamis in Indonesia it was 15 -30 minutes as the water went out and came back.

What would "you" do if you had a 4 minute warning?

After saying "oh sh**" I'd probably speak to someone who meant the most to me.
