I'm a little mystified about this myself. It is a shame the guy died...I know this hurts his family and friends. I'm sure he did a lot of good in his life. However, he took INSANE risks. He was clearly going to die at his job at some point because he did NOT behave in a matter that held self-preservation in high regard.

So why is it such a shock that this finally happened? It may be unusual that he didn't get his head snapped off by an alligator he was baiting. Perhaps it's unusual that he didn't die at the hands of a large cat he pissed off. But it doesn't seem all that surprising that he died tormenting a sea creature.

Sad, sure. Worthy of all the attention and interest? Not at all.

actual Steve Irwin grew to become into an atheist. i assume he could be happy along with his daughter notwithstanding with all the activities surrounding infant celebrities.. maybe slightly in contact?? i'm particular they're very careful together with her on condition that she is around unique animals. this could sound undesirable, yet i in my view wish she in no way gets harm. Even experts who understand the character of untamed animals can not are looking forward to their habit... Take Steve Irwins dying as an occasion.

He was a personable man, who made people remember him, and died in a very sad way at the tail end of a long hot summer.
I agree with you about it being blown out of proportion. Making it into a three ring circus detracts from the grief that his family must be going through, but we all of us feel that we own a little piece of celebrities.
When they smile into camera , they are smiling just for us.

It's not that they didnt care...they recognized his existance, much like every other celebrity, but, his death was the result of a freak accident, mainly due to the sting ray, and considering that he handled so many wild and very dangerous animals in his career, its a shock the way he died. That's why everyone is making a big fuss.

One thing one could say about Steve Irwin, and not about a lot of others out there, "HE was the real deal!" He will be missed.

You are right about that. No one did give a care until he was dead. (Including me). I still don't really care though. I gues that's what always happen to famous people - Once they die, people just make fun of them unless they were loyal to that famous person (like Aaliyah) then they wouldn't make fun of them.

I really never cared about him, but all I can say is that he had it coming. You can't play with fire and expect not to get burned. And besides, I'm sorry but anybody who dangles their baby in front of a 7 foot alligator is asking for it.
