Yes, you should file for child support- he should help with supporting the baby as he is the father. He may well try to deny that he is the father, but DNA testing will verify it in most cases.

By the way, your parents are not too far off in wanting to press charges against the guy.. He has some serious problems.

This could go either way. If you file for child support and he does get arrested and jail time for statutory rape, then your child support payments will be a long time coming. However, you are only 15, probably still in school and your whole life ahead of you. Most guys that young that are still playing the field, spreading their seed wherever they go, won't pay it, won't work and if they do, sounds like it'll just be going to the other chick that is pregnant. I wouldn't worry about his wanting visitation rights, etc. His kind never do. But I wouldn't just ask for child support, I would ask for health insurance too. Its not fair that your parents should have to support this child, nor should the rest of us hard working tax payers. Oh, and its called CONDUM! You might wanna think about investing in those. Today its not just the responsibility of the boy, its BOTH of you who should take the responsibility of protecting yourself.

And yes, I'm being harsh. I have a 17 year old daughter and we wanted for years to have another child and couldn't. But all you ever hear anymore are these punk teenagers who are witless and have no respect for anyone anymore that are out there dropping babies like its nothing. You hear about them dumping them in dumpsters, etc. I think its troubling and disgusting and I wish there was some freaking way that kids don't develop their "baby making" organs until they hit the age of 21.

You can file for support after the baby is born. I don't understand why your parents won't press charges for statutory rape. What does talking on the phone have to do with it? You can press charges yourself. Just call 911. He's obviously a rat and has ruined several lives already.

Of course you should. He is the father of this baby and its his duty as a parent to provide support for this baby. Also being only 15, you are going to need the child support even though it won't be much.

Also by what you've said in the question he doesn't seem like the best choice as a partner. So I hope you think twice about being with him...because I'm sure he'll try to get you back.

Well to make it simple if you file for child support he will still have parental rights, if you don't want him in your life or the child's you can file to have his parental rights taken away but you can not file for child support in that case. If you need the money to help take care of the child and are okay with him having parental rights than go for it. It could only benefit the child.

You already did your thing,,, if i was ur parents id press charges too. Heck yes make him pay child support. A grown man having sex with children is wrong. But a man not helping raise is kids is even worse, Raise that baby right and so called dad should help.

File for child support, send him to jail (for statutory rape). He should be responsible for his actions. You were young and naive, sorry you have to go through this. But hopefully, this helps you grow up. Every girl's gotten a broken heart, be strong and you'll be just fine.

You can file a statutory charge without your parents. Defiantly get that child support, you are really going to need it

Should you file for child support? You should file a police report how about that for stat. rape! And you recently caught him with 2 other girls, but believe me, there's been more, youre just to young to realize it!
