On an earlier question I asked about racial profiling arabs at airports, everyone said yes. Think about this, if the cops patrol a certain street at the same time everyday, would criminals see the predictability of their patrols and avoid commiting crime around those times? If we racial profile arabs at airports, would you think that arab terrorist would see this and change tactics by using non arab islamic extremists to do the dirty job? What do you think?

Predictability creates weaks spots. And weak spots get exploited. The more predictable something is, the easier to get around it.

They don't rely entirely on profiling for that very reason. But the fact remains that most of the extreme versions of Islam hail from Arab countries, and most of those who carry out attacks are Arabs. But of course, it is always evolving. And we change our profiles accordingly.

You mean like an Iranian? Go into the northern mountains and you'll see white people who look european.
For non arab muslim extremists you have filipino and indonesian fanatics who aren't fond of the US.

they probably will. i think racially profiling arabs is still our best bet but they have other security methods as well.
