My favorite song of all time is April 26th 1992:
April 26, 1992 there was a riot on the streets
Tell me where were you, you were sittin home watchin your tv
While I was participating in some anarchy
First spot we hit it was my liquor store
I finally got all the alcohol I can't afford
With red lights flashin' time to retire
Oh tho we turned that liquor store into a structure fire
Next stop we hit it was the music shop
It only took one brick to make the window drop
Finally we got our own p.a.
Where do you think I got this guitar that you're hearing today
When we returned to the pad to unload everything,
It dawned on me that I need new home furnishings
So once again we filled the van until it was full
Since that day my livin' room's been more comfortable
Cause everybody in the hood has had it up to here
it's getting harder and harder each and every year
Some kids went in a store with their mother
When she came out she was gettin some peppers
They said it was for the black man
They said it was for the mexican
But not for the white man
But if you look at the streets it wasn't about Rodney King
It's bout this f*cked up situation and these f*cked up police
It's about coming up and staying on top or screamin' 187
on a motherf*ckin' cop
It's not written on the papers, but its written on the wall
National guard smoke from all around
Let it burn, wanna let it burn

Yes, I love to listen to Sublime when I travel to the coast. Just gets me in the mood for some reason. I heard they are touring again with a singer that sounds a lot like Bradley Knowles...I would like to check it out since I never got the chance when he was alive...

of course I know who sublime is! I grew up with them in high school. I especially love the song Scarlet Bagonias and April 26, 1992. Smoke two joints and Date Rape is good too. Oh, and Carress me Down. Good s hit. ^.~ Here in Las Vegas our radio station 107.5 plays sublime all the time. They are timeless. I know ten years from now the kids will be listening to it like we did when we were going up.

My first ever CD was Sublime when I was like 12 or 13. One time my dad came in, heard some of the lyrics, took the CD out of the player, and broke it in half. Didn't my dad realize that this would only make me like them even more? And I still do to this day. They are awesome.

They were a punk / ska / dub band from Long Beach, California. They had 3 great, tasteful musicians who played exactly the kind of music they wanted to.
Sublime was an honest and unique band, and I don't know who to blame for their dissolving.

yeah, Bradley Nowell had an angelic voice like Jeff Buckley. but he had to go ruin everything by overdosing on heroin. always thought the dude was into ganja with his band's chilled out vibe.
Turns out he was dancin' with Mr Brownstone, just like Hillel Slovak from the Red Hot Chili Peppers who was also a legend.
