First be sure it is truly a migraine. Some folks will call any bad headache a migraine. True migraines are usually one sided and the victim is VERY sensitive to light and sometimes noise. If it is a migraine you should rest in a darkened, quiet room. You can put a cold cloth on your head and try taking two tylenol and two ibuprofen at the same time.

As mentioned caffeine is a good, simple, and relatively safe home remedy for certain kinds of headaches. Be careful though, because for other types of headaches caffeine might make the pain worse. Please see link below for some more options for migraines.

Caffeine helps some people; you might try the Excedrin Migraine formula, which has caffeine in it. If you are able to safely take Sudafed (i.e., no high blood pressure), taking 60 mg along with a dose of Tylenol/acetominophen helps many people. Staying in a cool, dark room helps many migraine sufferers, as does sleep. If you have them frequently or severely, it's time to get to a doctor - there are some good prescription medications available.

Caffeine is supposed to help, although I personally cannot vouch for this.

Try keeping an ice pack on your forehead while being in a darkened room with no sound. This should help.

Just for a note of reference: I used to suffer terribly from migraine headaches. I learned "what not to eat". There is an entire list that has been compiled by the medical association.

Here are some basic things which will bring on a migraine headache. Please try to stay clear of them.

Peanuts (nuts in any form)
Cheese (processed deli meats)
Chocolate
Chewing Gum (the repetitve motion of your jaw chewing)

Please feel better and try to have a lovely rest of the day.

About the only thing that helps me is:

1.) Take a double-dose of Excedrin Migraine formula, and

2.) Take a hot shower -- as hot as you can stand it, and just sit down in the tub and let the water fall on your head till you run out of hot water.

First thing you aren't go to like this because it is the truth and you can handle the truth. I have friends that take pain killer all the time and can understand why they hurt so much. I know others the take downers and can't understand
why their sad all the time. A friend that drink a six pack of Mountain Dew every evening and can understand why she doesn't sleep. Weed nowadays is crap any way and is probably giving you those headaches.

Look for a massage therapist that can do Myofascial Release. My friends 20 year old daughter comes to me whenever she starts getting one. She drives an hour and a half to get here. She says it is the only thing that makes it go away.. She always says why suffer for days when I can come here and it is gone.
