Okay. she has money, looks, her dog, her tv show. And she wears some really funky outfits. ("funky meaning sharp-looking); and I don't have an opinion about an earlier rather racy "video" because she was younger and rather naive, just like millions of other young girls who make mistakes that they may or may not regret later in their lives.
Still, she is everywhere.On TV, in magazines, newspapers, and now a new cd....
I wonder how much influence she has on other young girls. I also wonder if younger girls really have ANY well-known female role models. (besides perhaps family members, e.g. their mothers, aunts, grandmothers, etc)
...... or even if they need them anymore

No...Paris Hilton is not a good role model for young girls. She makes it seems as though life is effortless and that all they have to do is be pretty and good things will come to them. A girl needs a much stronger person for a role model these days.

I don't think she is: All that money she didn't 'work' for she's a Hilton, looks have nothing to do with being a role model, nor her having a dog. Her television show teaches girls to be ditsy and her outfits, sometimes nice, but most of the time really slutty. "That's Hott" Her intelligence level is at zero, unless shes hiding it from the world for some unknown reason..so no I don't think so at all.
I think young girls get the wrong message when they see all of these celebs. Personally, I don't think ANYONE should try to act the way celebrities do..that would be hell. Girls should look to their mothers or another close female family member. Also, maybe a female couch or teacher. Someone who knows about LIFE. Celebs live in their own little worlds..nothing like they way most normal families live. Many people say 'Oh they are just the same as us'. Sorry no. They get payed for saying a line, taking photos a etc and are overly powerful and rich.

Absolutely not. What exactly has she done other then being the Heiress of Hilton Chain ? Well let see : -
a) She made a personal Porn Film that was seen all over the world. In it She did not look or sound naive and innocent, but she surely tried to ).
b) She looked and sounded ditzy, stupid and immature in the TV show ( and does now ).
c) She acts and behaves totally immature.
d) Even after so many personal debacles ( she has dated and surely fornicated with all the Toms, ***** and Harrys), she is still a wannabe ( She is not a Movie star, She is not a great Model, She is not a TV artist and she surely is not a Singer by any means.
So think about it , who would want their little girl to be like this when she grows up ?

I hope you don't think someone who is handed money, and doesn't work or do anything (but drink, party and pose for pictures) a role model? All the things you mentioned are not jobs, they are her" hobbies". She just got busted for DUI. That is not a role model. Sadly some young girls do look to her as a role model and want to be like her. That's pretty pathetic. I've never heard her mention anything about education or charities she has helped or anything but posing and drinking and well..........the other stuff she does with all her spare time. I wonder how much of that she would get done, it she worked in a factory 40+ hours a week and really had to work for a living?

What the hell is this crap about role models? WHy can't kids be themselves instead of idolizing someone you will never meet. I don't know about the res on here but as a kid, I never had a role model. I was my own person. Paris is a horrible role model. She looks skanky, and she looks like she has AIDS. She doesnt nothing psotive. Its all about her. If your kid needs a role model, and youre not it, youre both fuc*ed

NO WAY !, She is an embarrasment to our National Image. She is attractive and has financial wealth ! But the girl has no class !, no moral values !, That is something good looks and money cannot buy ! Young girls do need role models, Hollywood is not it !

she is the worst role model a girl can have. first she is an heiress, meaning she was born with loads with money and did no work to earn it. second what has she done to earn:raunchy videos filled with suggestive moves. where is hard wrk, ambition, doing good for others involved??? there are better people, public figures and celebrities alive..... just being famous and rich do not qualify for following...
