I would go back to the day b4 my grandfather passed and sit with him on his porch swing all day long and just talk. I did that several times a week and miss it and him so much...would love to have 1 more day

Hmm...there are quite a few interesting places.

If I could only observe, then possibly the primary one would be Jeruselam, around the year 30 CE (or whenever it was Jesus was supposed to have died). I'd take a whole lot of pictures and movies and sound recordings, then come back and prove Jesus never existed. Not that people would listen to me, of course, but it would still be rather satisfying.

Another one high on the list would be just before 9/11. Head into the World Trade Center towers, dig around, see how many explosives were packed into the buildings beforehand.

However, if I could actually CHANGE history, then probably other places would win. Assassinating Hitler would be awfully attractive, but even that might lose to still other places. I'd probably go back and give inventions to someone, but when the best time would be to do that isn't very clear. It'd have to be at least a few hundred years, in the attempt to set our own technological level forward as far as possible. I really don't know what the best time would be or what inventions to give them. :\

This May Sound Dumb And/Or Selfish But I Would Go Back To A Couple Months Ago When My Dad's Friend Went To A Rascal Flatts Concert And Give Him Money To Buy Me A T-Shirt.

Or I Would Go Back To When I Was Sitting By My Friend's Friend Derek And He Was Telling Jokes And When I Was Laughing (2 Other People Were Laughing Also.) Person 1 Told Person 2 That She Thought I Liked Derek, When I Didn't, So I Was Mean To Him So He Knew I Didn't. So Now I Can't Even Be Friends With Him, And He's Very Funny And Fun. Now My Friend Moved So Now Neither Of Them Are My Friends. I Would Go Back To When I Was Mean To Him, And Well, Not Be Mean To Him So He Would Be My Friend.

i dont know if i would want to being a woman and all because women havent always been considered equal, if I could visit any time in history though it would be during my dads early 20s to stop him from trying to kill himself, he wrecked his car on purpose and almost died 3 times, it caused him to have major brain damage and if It changed his whole life, if I could prevent him from messing up his life I would, because he became a different person after that.. I would also go back to when I was a kid and tell myself not to make some of the mistakes that I made during my life, to prevent the pain Ive been through .. sorry such a negative answer but thats most definitely what I would do

"if I could visit just one place is history with a time machine, where would I go?"

- in the past:

I would go where & where I was born. I would observe myself growing. I am sure I would better understand what I've been living nowadays.

---

- in the future:

I would go where & when pragmatical real scientists are etablishing the first peaceful contact with "extraterrestrials".

That day would be the very first day of a brand new Era of Earth-planet, some kind of "Inter-planetary Era".

Do you know, I might very well be sat next to you, or the premiere of Mahler's 2nd (Resurrection). The premiere of Stravinsky's Rite of Spring resulted in a bit of a riot, so possibly that too.

Non-musically, I would give anything to have heard Abraham Lincoln deliver the Gettysburg Address.

First I would find a way to make more than one visit because there are too many things to see and change.

One to warn the indians about the pilgrims and to africa to warn the africans of their future enslavement and to all of the wars to try and resolve the problems by discussing the issues one by one. I would definitely go back a few years to the day bush got in office to catch the culprit in charge of this tragedy.

Just at the time we, as fully formed Homo Sapiens emerged from the Rift Valley in Africa (90-160,000 years ago). It must have been amazing to see a whole world available to explore.

Maybe 1965 so that I could volunteer for the acid tests. Then I could hang out with Jerry Garcia and Ken Kesey.
