I was due to ovulate somewhere around aug. 17 to the 22. My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex around those dates. I took a p.t. a few days ago and it was neg. I have missed my MC by a little over a week. Is it still to early to test, considering my ovulation date was so late??? I have also been having crampiness, and bloating. As well as I am tired a lot on top of that about 4 days ago my nipples have become very sore and tender to the touch?! Someone please help me?!!? Im so confused!!!

Even though some over-the-counter tests say they can detect pregnancy as soon as a day or two after your missed period, that isn't always the case. Pregnancy tests detect the amount of hCG in your urine, and that level increases with time. So if the hCG level is still too low to detect (which it very well could be just a couple of days after your period is due), you could get a false negative reading.

Your symptons sound a lot like the early signs of pregnancy, but it's also possible that you're experiencing PMS. I suggest either getting a blood test done at the doctor, or waiting a few days and then trying an OTC pregnancy test again. Good luck - I hope you get the result you're looking for!

You dont get pregnancy symptoms THAT fast. Sometimes its just a mind thing, because you want to be pregnant. But you can look on the internet and go to one of those sites that has a pregnancy calculator and that should help you. But your hormone levels may not be high enough just yet to be detected on a pregnancy test. EPT is the best one. (Im 8 months pregnant)

The OTC pregnancy tests are erroneous at times, however, they are corrent 90%+ of the time.

If you are truely concerned, make an appointment with your OBGYN. They can do a more accurate test.

If you are frequently late, I would wait another week or two before worrying.

Oh yea, do not have unprotected sex unless you are looking to get pregnant.

A test wont show until your late or a few days before. might just be PMS very similar to pregnancy symptoms. Best of Luck

Just to be safe, go to the doctors. If you still wanna wait a while, then do a home pregnancy test in a few days.

you could be pregnant, sometimes the hcg level isn't high enough for the home tests, have dr office take blood test to check the level, the can get the results by next day, i did this earlier this week, good luck

i was pregnant for 3 months before a home pregnancy test came up positive--your best bet is to go to the dr and get examined

I would make an appointment to see the doctor. Explain what is going on. He/she may do a blood test.
