lol-good lead----I was going to say depends if one knows how to use the extra 2 inches-on a mattress-lol--ahh yes-I would say 10 is better-more room to play with the other 8 inches that are there!

For talalay latex, a 6" core is usually adequate . . but many add an additional 1" - 3" softer topper. Above 9" foam thickness has a high probability of "sag" issues, gravity pulling the body into an undesirable "banana" position.
