I have been spending a lot of time with my ex lately after 2 months of being apart and the feelings and all that are the same on both parts (we talked about our feelings) we broke up for silly reasons, and the last time I went out with him he kept trying to reassure himself that we are just friends, almost like he has to tell him self that to belive it. So is it just me or does it seem strang e that he has to keep telling him self this?

By "ex" are we talking married and then divorced, or just a bf that you broke up with?

If divorced, be careful. The things that were bad in the relationship are still there, just a little farther under the surface.

Well, I always say that when you break up, it's for a reason. And that constitutes not getting back together b/c the issues remain the same.

In your case, it seems (and you've admitted) that you broke up b/c of "silly" reasons.

So, if the feelings are still there and you think you can work it out . . . I say go for it and give it that second chance.

If you do this, just don't forget those silly reasons and work on making them better, to ensure that your love will last a lifetime!

Please remember to always RESPECT each other, don't take each other for granted and COMMUNICATE!!!!!

Good Luck!!!!! : )

Not really; he's trying to resist getting involved with you again and setting up a situation where you could break up again after an all-too-brief affair. I question whether you should have gone out with him after that talk about feelings. Guys tend to read a lot more into those conversations than girls do.

He might be trying to get over the feelings he has for you so he could move on with his love life. But it seems like he can't get it to his mind because he thinks about you in a realtionship way.Its not very strange but I think he is suffering to get rid of those lovey-dovey feelings he has for you.It would be much better if you guys have a heart-to-heart about it.That way you might set him free and you get over him or maybe it might just blossom into another chapter of your lives,ie. you might spark some new feelings and start over again..as lovers.

Because he probably does have feelings for you still....(like you said), but he is a male..and males have this thing of wanting to have their cake and eat it too. Right now you two are hanging out, talking,etc...but because you are not officially involved there are no strings and not as much pressure. So right now it sounds to me as if he does want to be with you, but he feels that it may ruin what you two have right this moment. If I were you I would talk to him about it and see....talking to him is the only true way to know what he is feeling.

He must have true feelings about you. He'll soon get over it. but if you still have the same feelings about him, try to get together. No need to break a relationship over something so little.

no its not strange he still wants to be just friends. he not reassuring himself hes reassuring you. i guarantee you that he going to want some booty if your old enough to have sex. and if you give him some after wards he going to separate himself from you. and you are going to ask him whats up and he will say what yall did was great but he still wants to be friends. so be careful.

Nothing ends well that ends at all. Relationships don't end well otherwise they would nt end.

Your just going around in circles!

And you guys aren't back together....why?
If you two have feelings for eachother and want to give it another go, why aren't you doing that?
