The biggest advantage and biggest disadvantage of civilization is the same thing. You come across other people and their ideas. For the good ones like Jesus, Mohammed, Martin Luther King, Gandhi, JFK (to a point), and so on coming across their ideas was definitely a good thing. We learn to work with others and to love one another through people like those.
Then of course you come across people like Hitler, Mussolini, Donald Rumsfeld (to a point), and so on and of course coming across their ideas was (and is) a very bad thing. To hurt others in an attempt to raise one's ownself up (and it usually backfires, if Hitler had Jewish help from Albert Einstein he might have won the war) is obviously bad. That is the biggest disadvantage of civilization, power-hungry dictators have a way to crush fellow humans by getting their own ideas out into civilization.

CivizATION? I've NEVER heard OF That before. Did you mean Civilization? Missed that "l" HUH? lol. just Yanking your leg.
Disadvantages: Not enough time in the Day TO GET EVERYTHING DONE. Not enough family TIME. work MORE HOURS THEN you Can SPEND with your family.
People living longer. Their bodies work but their mind is gone or their mind works AND due to AGING, THEIR bodies don't. It's A CRUEL thing to watch, especially WHEN IT'S YOUR OWN mother AND Father.
My Father DIED in MAY and my mother is 78. She Can OUT WORK ME, Walk, whatever. after my dad Passed, she Had NOT BEEN TO the doc for A LONG TIME and we ALL Had noticed her memory problems. Short term memory.
Well, she is healthy As a horse, but it May BE a couple years (Even with melds) that she won't know any of us. It's like we've lost them both.

Dependency.. because.. for any job..you have to wait for someone else.. and every one says i am specialist .. no one knows the whole job..
