Fun and entertinment, but at the same time if gives you access to a broad range of opinions, experience and advice. When my computer has a virus i got the answers I needed in less than 5 minutes from Yahoo Answers. We are all amatuers but we are all good at something.

Yahoo answers is a place where people can come and ask questions and have everyday people answer them for you, based upon their experience and education or common sense. What can you learn from it? Well if you have any questions you are going to learn the answers to them or at least get the insight of others peoples points of view. That there are people out here who can offer you some advice and answers with out charging you for it.

Yahoo Answers is a great project from yahoo ..you can ask anything and people can help you many answers
you learn alot from yahoo answers also it's really fun to ask or to search for questions to answer

it's like "ask the audience" in Who wants to be a Millionaire. You will get a lot of opinions, but most people in this planet are total idiots, so you use the answers to guide you in the right direction. Not recommended for those searching an absolute truth. Which doesn't exist anyway, it's all dialectic.

Yahoo answers in an experiment in human psychology. You can learn about human nature, and our innate desire to interact with others. You can learn that anonymity helps to open up peoples real feelings, but that virtualization of social interactions causes people to disassociate with the real world.

obviously you know what it is because you're on here. you will learn how to spend countless amounts of hours reading about other people's problems and you will waste a lot of time. but if you want to know an answer to anything...people are pretty great with giving you answers right away. it's fun :)

Personally, I think it's a fun way to help people, learn how others think and absorb strange little facts - and for some reason, I seem to be getting a rush everytime I have points added to my overall score! (you get points as you answer questions, answer first, chosen as best answer, etc).

It's for questions you don't have the answer to. It has also been used for advice. The only thing you'll learn from it is how dumb people can be.
