There are a number of ways:
1) if your computer is a desktop then you can buy a plug in card that will give you USB connectivity. these devices are called PCI usb card and can be had for about £10. (similar price in US). they are easy to fit aslong as you know how to get inside the case of your computer. when buying make sure that it comes with a disk for the drivers as the drivers are a bit hard to find and download. (as I found out when I lost my disk!!)
2) If your pc is a notebook then you can buy a PCMCIA caed that will do the same thing as above and is easier to fit. Make sure you take your laptop to the shop and ask the assitant to make sure it is compatible.
3) take your photos to somone elses computer or an internet cafe and after having uploaded your photos emailthem to yourself.
I hope that helps.

If you are looking for a free way to do it, maybe go to a public computer, transfer the photos onto Flickr.com and download them at home, or if you dont mind spending £5-£20 (Currency) then i suggest going down to a store that sells Computer Hardware and picking up a USB 2.0 PCI Card. Only cheap and very easy to install.
Hope that answers your question, feel free to contact me otherwise.
EDIT: Refering to the above comment, that is inacurate and faulse. If she doesnt have a USB port to start with a USB Hud isnt much good is it.
