Well I would not say a season myself but I would say the holidays are the time. Lots of Sept and Oct babies, and the reason is Christmas and Valentines Day. Also a lot of people get married in the summer so they will have a March/April baby.

In the past, mankind, like most animals, used to regulate its life according to natural cycles. Middle Ages' peasants woke up at dawn, as the sun rose, and went to sleep at dusk, at the same time the sun dissapeared.
In the same way, warmer and sunny climates during spring and summer made us happier and more in the mood for love, spring was our defacto 'mating season'. This was specially true in the ancient and middle ages, when far more children were born in spring, when food was more abundant and they had high possibilites of survival.
I think nowadays, modern inventions like electricity, refrigerators, artificial lighting and gas heaters have eroded this tendency to adapt to natural cycles, but the basics are still there. If you start to pay more attention, you will notice there are far more births during spring and summer than during winter or autoumn.
Despite the fact that we are much more independent of natural cycles than our middle ages counterparts, warmer climates and sunny days still affect our 'mood'.

I don't think that it has to do with animals or anything.
I think you get lonely during January-March because Valentine's Day is in the middle and during the summer, everyone goes on vacation so no one is around, plus "summer love" is always so hyped up.

Yes, humans have a daily season for mating... and it's divided into three parts... morning, noon and night...
