Business casual, like a pair of nice pants and a sweater or a nice shirt. You don't have to wear a business suit, but you could if you wanted.

Unless you're wearing formal attire, you can't really over-dress for a job interview. Regardless of the position you're seeking or any other advice you may be given, you should dress as professionally as your wardrobe allows.

Sure, you could interview in jeans and a t-shirt and get a job but the better dressed and better prepared you are, the more respect you'll earn from the prospective employer.

A well-dressed candidate always stands out in a hiring manager's mind.

Good luck!

Go with a nice, flannel shirt and dress pants...without the tie...but just a warning, you might be feeling out-of-place. It's Home Depot, not a jewelry store, so dress down a bit. Don't worry, you'll be back to jeans and t-shirts soon!

Not all jobs require a navy blue interview suit. In fact, in some cases you would be way over dressed. Interviewers stress the importance of a "neat and clean" appearance. This means:

CLOTHES

Clean and pressed
Free of spots, stains and odors
Conservative in color and without a lot of patterns
Appropriate to the job you are applying for...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For an office job
Men Women
Slacks and sport jacket Skirt or dress with jacket
Dress shirt, conservative tie Business-like dress
Dark shoes and socks Dark shoes, low heels

For a job working outside, in a plant, or service department

Men Women
Slacks and shirt (not a T shirt or jeans) Skirt or slacks
A shirt and tie may be appropriate Conservative blouse
Dark shoes and socks (not tennis shoes) Jacket optional

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SHOES

Clean, polished, and in good condition
Conservative in style
JEWELRY
Limited in quantity (1 or 2 rings, not 4 or 5)
Conservative (avoid large flashy items, evening jewelry, long dangly earrings)
Quiet (clanking bracelets are a distraction)
MAKEUP
Limited in quantity (heavy make-up is not proper for an interview, try for a natural look)
YOU
Freshly bathed or showered
Teeth brushed
Hands washed, with clean and trimmed fingernails
Hair washed, neat and trimmed, not hanging in your face or over your eyes
Facial hair neatly trimmed or removed

wear a nice button-down shirt and slacks or a business-casual skirt or dress bottom. Definitely not a suit, and I wouldn't even go with a jacket. The shirt could even be short-sleeved, but make it a neat button-down shirt and slacks or kakhis of some sort. No jeans, no sneakers. Do your hair nice, and light makeup.

Treat it like you would any other interview. Dress nice and modest, like you would on Sunday morning if you go to church. Jeans with a nice shirt or dress pants with a dress top would be appropriate. I feel like a dress or skirt would be a little overdressed, but that's just me.

For any job interview, it's better to be slightly overdressed than slightly underdressed... mainly because it's their real first impression of you. Since I assume you're female, some nice slacks or khakis and a solid color blouse or shirt would probably be best.

I would say a suit.
I have always heard that you dress for the interview, not the job. It will also say that you may be later be district manager material.

Good luck!!!
I am an out of work paralegal and it is a daily suppression of panic that I do not lose everything.

Wear what you feel comfortable in .. I would suggest like Khaki's and a nice shirt or jeans . No need to be professional .. I mean look at the clothes ppl work in while your there.
