An OPTIMIST sees the glass half full.
The PESSIMIST sees the glass half empty.
I am neither. I am a CYNIC.
I want to know who stole the missing half.

A pessimist when preparing to face some difficulty or a problem cuz only a pessimist can think of all the difficulties life brings. An optimist when I'm facing life or a difficulty or a problem cuz it is only an optimist who has the confidence the will power and the desire to work till the end to accomplish or solve a task.

I'm an optimist.
I have to mention two things though. It depends on the person seeing you if they see you as an optimist or a pessimist, it's their perception that counts with them...whether or not you are upbeat.
Another thing I wanted to mention is that everything is fine unless you go overboard. Like the love/hate relationship...Love is love to the extent of going overboard and then it becomes hate...So it is also with being an optimist. You can go so far that it sounds to othem like you're a pessimist. Like you can research a thing until it's overresearched and people get tired of hearing about it...haha like me now.... :-)
I looked over the comments people made...seems there is a disagreement on what realist is and where it fits in to the equation. Maybe we'd all make good politicians.

A natural pessimist, but working for companies I pretend to be an optimist. They like that.

I'm a realistic optimist.
I tend to be pretty optimistic, though not insanely so. I also have my pessimistic moments. Depends on the context.

i'm ninety 3% a realist you're a realist like me. you employ evidence and settle on if life is sturdy or undesirable. you have faith that life can substitute for the forged or undesirable. you're probable somebody who by no skill assumes. and 40 two% an optimist, 0% pessimist :O i assumed i became into going to be an optimist, yet after having study the text textile.. I ought to agree :)
