Contrary to what normally is believed, feeling tired has nothing to do with physical motion during intercourse; it is due to the fact that the male body needs time to recuperate after ejaculation of semen, sperm, and other fluid that has left the body in a instant.
The semen that left the body are secreted through various glans in the body that helps to smooth the transfer of sperm to the female body, once the these fluid has been ejaculated, the body goes to "re-stock" mode and begin to rejuvenate itself.
The rejuvenation period tend to last about 2-5 days for a average male adult, however the body may need longer time to fully regain its fluid if there are other factors involve, such as older age, low blood circulation, bad diets; you get the picture.
The feeling of tire or the need to sleep is self-induced by the brain to tell you that rest is needed, which is the start of the rejuvenation process. This process is the same for both men and women, whether or not its may be more apparent in one or the other.
However, the rejuvenation process is not always immediate and noticeable. If you are in good health condition, your body might not start the process right away, which means you don't feel that tiredness or the sleepiness after all that action; but you might find yourself sleep more soundly at night.

It's not a physical question mainly as others answers say, but right a mental one! Here's because we are more tired than the effort itself. Anyway, every people lives the "after" time in different way and while somebody feels no weariness others (as you) feels more. However, I don't think that young guys have to be too tired...... otherwise there just is something wrong....

nicely, at the same time as a guy has one, his body produces an enzyme that motives him to sense sleepy and drained. it is established in all adult men, although, if he can carry out for a couple of minutes, the enzyme right away wears off and should be in a position to bypass again, or maybe get up and do some thing else.

although it's fun and exciting, having sex can be an exhausting act. since the man has to do most of the work, (sorry if this offends any ladies) it seems natural that he would be tired after expending all the energy it takes to pleasure both himself and his partner.

A lot of the body's energy goes into an orgasm (for men and women) which is why sex burns more calories than it appears it would...
It's a nice tired though... :)

Very good question. Do you suppose the chances of impregnation are greater when the male doesn't jump up and go off to the next thing?

I think their are certain phases that a man goes through and after he has an orgasm he's in the recovery phase that can last awhile.
