I'm sorry, and you're certainly in our prayers. It really depends on the size of your town. I live in Montgomery, AL a medium sized town (100,000). All 911 calls and all calls to ambulance companies are recorded. I don't believe that call to the main switchboard at the MPD are recorded. Hospital phone calls to my knowledge are not recorded. If you believe that it has been recorded by the police simply go to police headquarters and explain to the person at the window why you would need it. At least in my town, they're most helpful; and if they can't help, they'll send you to someone else. A small town will be different, but most major cities will be the same. I hope this helps.

The police record all 911 calls. Put you might have to sue them to release them. Most police dept. do not record all incoming calls that are not 911 in nature.

So sorry to hear about your loss. If you ask them, maybe the police, if not ask a lawyer. I believe the news people pay for those items.
