Brian, first of all, I'm not sure which country you are speaking about, so I can only assume you are from the U.S.
The problem is, how do you regulate sexual deviance, and where do you draw the line?
Take for instance, a case where a judge ordered a couple to be sterilized becaues they were unfit to raise children and refused to take respnsibility for effective birth control and ended up with several children being taken away from them. The country was outraged at the judge for trying to force this issue. Because it allows the government to intrude. Now would most of us agree that this couple had no business raising children, and should they stop having children? Absolutely! But for the government to intrude and force sterilization? Allowing that would also allow the government to start doing this to people who may be fit as well.
As far as deviants, there are certain laws in place to protect others from harm, especially in nonconsentual situations. But the problem is that it's difficult to enforce and to prosecute.

Because this is a free society and what I do in my bedroom, as long as it does not hurt anyone or involve minors or animals is my business. Mind your own damn business and keep to yourself. I don't tell you how to pray! I don't tell you that your religion is the wrong one! I don't tell you how to drive! Don't tell me that me and my girlfriend can't get our freak on in the bedroom.
Also, if your question is regarding homosexuality, why do you care if Adam and Steve are traveling on the Hershey highway together or if Sally and Marie are using tongue and groove construction methods? What real impact does that have on your life?

what do you consider sexual deviance? priests raping little boys? you would have to ask the Pope why the catholic church doesn't have a zero-tolerance policy but personally I would never step foot in a catholic church in my life

Do you mean pedophiles, or bestiality, or gay sex, or sex before marriage, or infidelity, or sex in a non-missionary position, or masturbation, or porn, or threesomes, or S&M, or lubricants, or...
The short answer is because what two consenting adults do in the privacy of their own bedroom is none of your business unless you happen to be one of those two adults.
