I served in Iraq and Afghanistan. As a result, I'm more cautious around strangers, and feel that I should be shown a bit more respect from everyday people. I'm also less prone to get into an arguement or other needless conflict and tend to take the time to really enjoy what I have in my life.

Of course they have. Everything I've went through up to this point has molded me into the woman I am today. I think twice about certain things, I choose not to do certain things cause I know the outcome already, there are many things I refer to in my past to help influence me positively today. Yet, I live for today, cause it's all we've got. Who knows if I'll even wake up tomorrow?

No. I have had some crazy bad things happen and some extrodinarily good things happen. But I live everyday knowing that things always get better than what they may be.
I dont let the past decide or rule my future.

No matter what anybody says your past experiences have nothing to do with the way you are now. There are tons of people who have had shitty pasts and grown up to be wonderful well-to-do people but then there are people who have had shitty pasts and grow up to be shitty people it just all depends on what you want to do and how you percieve life.

They have taught me that things are usually NOT the way they seem - that I'm only seeing people's actions and don't know their hearts, and so, I reserve judgment much more than I used to... I also pray alot more than I used to... ALOT more...

I always thing ,"things can be worse" "This too shall pass" and "Everything happens for a reason!" But most of all, what i've learned though out is, "NOTHING, lasts forever! NOTHING!"
