I've heard him say that he voted for Ralph Nader in 2000. While talking to retired Senator Alan Simpson (R-WY), Maher asked, "What is it that we blue-staters are not getting about the United States of America?"

He's a member of the Green Party last time I checked. However he states he votes for the candidates he thinks have the best chance of winning that are closest to his views. In some areas he is libertarian - such as on drug regulation. However this does not mean he is a Libertarian.
Of the two major parties he would side most often with the Democratic Party.

Sounds like all robots live here. Bill Maher is a progressive thinker. Not a backwards thinker like some of you clowns.

To those of you answered Communist, is it because he has guts enough to speak his mind about what he thinks of the current administration? I hate to tell you, but the current administration is closer to Communism than Mr. Maher. Why don't you find out what Communism really is before you give the opinion that someone is Communist.
