I'd explain to her why you stopped inviting her out. Ask her to let you know when she wants to go out, and then if you're available you can go. People can only take so much rejection before they get sick of it, so tell her you hit that point and don't want to be told "no I don't want to go" anymore.

Hmmmm.... sounds to me like your friend is not really a brat but is starving for specail attention and is very insecure. It could be that she is wanting your group to "Beg" her into going along with your group where ever it is you are going. Maybe "Beg" is a harsh word, to put it a little softer.... she wants to be "Talked into going". This makes her feel special and well liked. Next time she turns down an invitation, tell her "I/We wish you would reconsider". And see what kind of a response you get. If she turns you down after this then leave her be. Then after this... next time she complains, tell her "She WAS invited but turned down the invitation, not once but several times". And let her know that after so many times, people get the impression she's not interested and get tired of being turned down.

Is she really a brat, or is this the only annoying thing about her?

If don't want to spend time with her, just answer her question "because you always say no." and get on with life.

If she'd otherwise be an OK companion, next time she asks, remind her that she always turns you down, so you don't see any point. "If we ask you to come with us [next gig], would you go?" if not, say "Well, then YOU make a suggestion. What WOULD you like to do?"

If this doesn't work, give up.

Let her know that you will not be keeping inviting her if she keeps denying the invit. Or let her make a suggestion on where she would like to go. If that doesn't work..then leave at home like you was doing.

I would be honest with her. Tell her why she doesn't get invited anywhere. Your hurting her more by allowing her to walk around oblivious to her actions. If you are really her friend you would tell her.

probably an attention-seeker. Be as candid with her as you can. Sometimes, that's the best way of handling people. They might just appreciate you for your honesty and plain-talk.

tell her to save the drama for her mama, get a tissue for her issue, and that's her fault that she doesn't want to go with you , she is the one that is missing out on a great time with friends ...
