The first flyby and photographs of the far side of the moon were achieved in 1959, and the first landing was by the Russian craft "Luna 2" the same year. The first "soft" landing (ie// landed intact) was by "Luna 9" in 1966. The United States were the first to land a man on the moon on 20th July 1969.
Of course, this could be a trick trick question. No countries have ever travelled to the moon. All the countries are stuck to the face of planet Earth. But that's just silly!
