Why would you want the government to do the parents job....

the government did not bring the children into the world.....

just look at the mess the federal government has made of the public school system....

The American education system taught our people in the past in a manner that allowed them to create the greatest nation on earth... the most advanced, the highest technology, the best health care system, etc..... people educated in different areas/regions of the country learned different things.... when people came together in a work environment, they were creative... they solved problems... in a way that made sense....

Now it teaches to the test.... they all learn the same thing.... very little true creativity.... sameness is the rule.... money is thrown at problems instead of applying common sense...

Children have to be entertained.... they do not use their imagination as much as they should and could. TV, fashion, shopping, cell phones, and video games, I almost forgot the "left", have subdued imagination.

Children are told to imagine..... but they don't know how.... they aren't allowed to learn to imagine....

there are no votes to be won with that, Hillary Clinton said *it takes a village to raise a child* it doesn't matter what they are taught at home if they go to school and learn that its ok to pick on some one because they don't wear the right clothes, make the right grades, ect. How can they they teach our kids to love when we're stuck in the middle of what will be WW3 and theres no light at the end of the tunnel? That isn't love and they can't teach it. They can't put prayer and the 10 commandments back in schools, we teach right to choose but if its an accidently death, its manslaughter, we teach politics, we teach mans laws, but we don't teach Gods laws. God is great and God is good, but I think even God has a limit.

It isn't the Governments place to teach children anything. Governments do fund schools for education such as reading, writing, Math but teaching begins at home...unfortunately too many parents have neither the time nor the desire to teach their kids...so they truck them off to the Daycare or babysitter.

Well, because it's not their job. People have to teach their own children to love others. When every child is raised to love others, governments won't dare go to war.

It's the parents that should be teaching their children to love.

It's not the government's job to teach things like that. That should come from parents, family members, friends, religious leaders, people like that.
