I used to, but that one is now just part of my history... but it's worth mentioning.

I tested metal containers. Doesn't sound bad like that, but this was a hydrostatic test (water pressure, to test for leaks) of a 1,400 pound round cylinder that was made to hold one ton (2,000 pounds) of liquefied chlorine. The containers need to be empty of *all* traces of chlorine, because chlorine and water (and that includes the mucus membranes of your eyes, nose and mouth) creates hydrochloric acid. There was never a "ton" that came back to me completely clean!

I then had to fill it with water, pressurize it up to 500 pounds of pressure, and then walk around it checking for leaks around all of the little openings. Then, I would drain the container into a sludge pit (brown, rust colored sludge, and very acidic), and finally, I would steam the "ton" for about 30 minutes (by hooking a boiler hose to one end and letting steam run through it and come out the other end, into the acid sludge). After that, (and by this time the "ton" was very hot!) I would push air through it, and go around to the front (where the bits of rust and debris were coming out hot and fast) and use a plastic tube to try and clean out as much as I could from the ton, with constant air pressure coming out.

I was basically working in the acid sludge, getting the hot debris from the container all over my arms, face and chest (yes, I wore protection, but I still got dirty!) and did I mention sweating? This is outdoors in Houston, TX, where it's already over 100 Fahrenheit, in a pit of steaming acid sludge, working on a 200 degree hot metal container, cleaning out chemical debris.

Other than that, it was OK.
