Iraq takes over command of armed forces.

Let the bashing begin. I know Cindy Sheehan is very disappointed in this, as it means less Americans dying.

You gotta remember, there used to be 3 battalions that were "combat ready" according to the administration. Where are they now? Just because Iraq took over "command" doesn't mean anything. Actions speak louder than words. Look at what happens everytime we turn something over to the iraqi government. We usually have to come back 3-6 months later to regain control.

I hope things get better over there. But we're going to be there for a long time. BushCo screwed everything up in the first place and now they try to parade anything that might make them look good.

Democrats are dissapointed about the 2659 American GI deaths since the war began. We're dissapointed about the 2522 since "mission accomplished" The 2192 since the caputre of Sadamn. And the 1763 since the "handover" of power to the Iraqis.

And now we've handed over "military control" How many Americans die from today on??? Democrats will be dissapointed about every single one of those deaths.

Hey blue hair Jim W, the idea isn't that anyone wants the war to be dragged out. The idea is, and always was, to turn the country over to the proper ruling authorities. They are building up their police and military from scratch, your commie lib democrats knew this when they all voted for it. Or are you conveniently forgetting that they vote to enter the war was nearly unanomous.

And why can't you answer any question without a rant or attacking another participant. No one cares if you're gay or not. No one cares if anyone say dyk* or not. Just answer the questions and stop whining like a liberal.

The prime minister takes control of Iraq's small naval and air forces and the 8th Iraqi Army Division.

It is good that the US is making progress in Iraq.If we could convine the UN to bring in Peace keeping troops,we could start withdrawing.I don't know the Liberals viewpoint(I am an Independant).

We Liberals would be very happy about it if it wasn't just more manipulated media bulls**t to try to keep the Republicans in power. Did you read the article, one of the most relevant lines is:
"However, it is unclear exactly how quickly Iraqi forces will be prepared to take over their own security"
It just shows that it is just (unfortunately) another paper tiger tale from Bushco.

They have taken over but will they be able to protect themselves. How many more Americans have to die?

Ho hum.

Just like all those other "mission accomplished" milestones.

This one coming during campaign season to boot!

Don't you guys know how to read between the lines?

You've got it backwards. Most liberals (conservatives and people in general) would be glad to see LESS of our soldiers dying and the potential to pull our people out of that hell-hole.

How can you say Sheehan would be disappointed? Her goal in her actions are to get our folks home.

And for those of you who say success there would disapoint libs-I say-- it would be NICE to see SOME success there.

Are you retarded?

Well, once the war is over George Soros won't be buying Cindy anymore ranches in Texas.

My question is will he keep the one he already bought her in Crawford?

I actually feel sorry for her because everyone will forget her name about 10 minutes after Bush is out of office.
