If the terrorists want to kill us, and Bush is "an idiot" surely we would have seen more attacks by now. There have been attacks in Britain, Spain, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, etc. They planned an attack in Canada, but it was prevented. Surely they hate us the most, so why haven't there been any more attacks here? I guess our Government is doing something right, huh?

Jim W- That's an intelligent answer. Thanks for adding to the debate! In other words, you know we are doing a good job, so you try to make jokes instead of making a point.

NewCatholic- Yeah, I'm glad too that homeland security is being well funded. That's part of the reason right? I guess that's what you meant.

kearneyconsu...- You're right, we should be competent. Only competent leaders will keep us safe. Should we take our chances with the democrats, or stick to what's working?

momof2bornin...- exactly. We've stopped them in the planning process. Again, we're doing a good job of preventing attacks at home.

Rooby-Roo- I agree with you on the subject of energy independence, that's a good topic for another question.

dstr- Why are there attacks in the other countries I listed? Is Bush behind those as part of his "plan". Who killed JFK? You might know about that one too.

tat2me1960- Oh, now I get it. Bush was the mastermind of 9/11! Thanks for telling me man, know one told me that before. You know what, I guess Bush is smart after all to be able to plan 9/11 and get away with it. We'll be sure not to elect him again! lol

Our military has taken the fight to the animals on their soil.

Brave men and women put themselves in the line of fire everyday so that the animals can satisfy their American blood-lust there instead of here.

This, along with strong homeland security, are the reasons the animals have not staged another successful attack on our soil.

Pretty simple to figure out.

God bless our troops.

There have been a couple more attempts, remember the Anthrax scare and the plane that crashed in Rockaway NY? Neither were resolved. And ask yourself why the terrorists haven't attacked, it isn't because they can't (it would be real easy to get something past our ports, etc.). They probably see our country going in the direction they planned all along, with an idiot President at the helm scaring everyone like the terrorists set out to do to begin with. Why make an effort when our country's leadership is so intent on dividing us, making us so afraid and stripping away what makes America great?

There have been two attacks on US soil, both on the World Trade Center
February, 1993 - World Trade Center bombed
January, 2001 - Clinton leaves office 7 years and 11 months after the bombing with the perpetrators of that attack in prison and no subsequent attacks.
September 11, 2001 - The World Trade Center is destroyed
September 2006 - 5 years later Osama is still at large. Bush can start gloating in 3 years.

The time span between Pearl harbour attack and 9/11 was 56 years, and time span of our attack on Iraq and 9/11/2001 was 2 years. If we as Americans stop our arrogance, most probably the next 9/11 will never happen and world will embrace peace. We Americans must take a leadership roll instead of being labeled as war generating nation. We must reduce one enemy every day instead of making many enemies every day.

Because with the first attacks, Bush and his neo-conservative brothers accomplished what they set out to do:

1.) Scare the American people into allowing him to change our Constitution, diminishing our civil rights/liberties, and removing most of the protections we people had against unfair treatment by our own government, as well as redefining a terrorist and enemy of the state to anyone they choose to deem so, like political activists and religious groups. (ALL of the changes in law are aimed at AMERICAN CITIZENS, not terrorists. Borders are still WIDE open. Islamic Fundamentalists STILL train in U.S. flight schools.)

2.) Gave Bush a plausible, if mis-used, excuse to invade and occupy Iraq, as well as quietly resume operations in Afghanistan. Iran is next. Meanwhile, he still plays puppeteer with the Lebanon/Israel situation, and offhandedly threatens Syria. WWIII anybody?

3.) Further train our law enforcement, who are in the reserves, in military tactics, military experience, and get them used to the idea of civilian deaths.

4.) Use our military in ways that were previously unconstitutional (for darned good reasons), which is also the ulterior motive behind the Mexican border/National Guard situation. Katrina was military practice in disarming civilians, but previous practice excersises the military held in California did the same thing.

5.) Brought us one Presidential finger-snap away from a police state, totalitarianism...dictatorship.

6.) Clearly and decisively devided the American people. Divide and conquer. Those who seek to preserve our Constitution, our civil rights and liberties, and object to the mis-use of our military, are labeled traitors, Nazi's, and unpatriotic.

7.) Brainwashed half of America into believing hate, fear, intolerance, elitism, subjective morality that denies civil rights equally, and that bad policies become good policies once you give them pretty names, are the NEW WORLD ORDER for America.

8.) Further cement the military's and law enforcements LOYALTY to HIS political party (versus the American people), and further alienate them from US.

Bush is certainly NO IDIOT. He is cunning, ruthless, and pure evil.

We will most certainly have another attack, when he needs one to accomplish the next changes and steps in his plan. So far, he has very precisely followed the steps Hitler used...precisely.

"It is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country."
-Reichsmarschall Hermann Goering, a leading member of the Nazi Party, second in command of the Third Reich, and commander of the Luftwaffe.

With all the people I see on here that fear terrorist attacks it seems they really don't need to attack again yet. After we take care of Iran, SA, Syria, and a few other countries they'll have little to no funding left.

This war has finally made me agree with liberals on one point. We need to have zero oil dependence. Of course we'd have to spread that world wide so no other countries buy oil from the ME either. That would cut off the funding of Jihad.

I have finally disagreed with Jesi. We are fighting millions of Muslims. Not just a few thousand.

The "terror threat" is highly overrated and of course is a political agenda. We have much more to fear right here in our own country. Some examples; New Orleans (Bush has admitted responsibility's for gov slow and lackadaisical response) Oklahoma bombing (done by an American war hero). David terrish fire, our own inner cities who have had more deaths due to violence than all " terror attacks" combined and our own highways which have had more deaths than any one war we have had and probably more than all of our wars combined, and that list is very minimal. Yes folks.... It's safer to fear ourselves than any terrorist's

There's only a finite number of fanatics and a finite number of dollars to be spent. Right now their resources are being poured into fighting American troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

If you think a country with the military and capital that the US has is having trouble maintaining readiness with multiple fronts, how do you think the terrorists feel? We're not fighting hundreds of milllions or Muslims, we're fighting a few thousand fanatics.

Any person with common sense is happy that America has not been attacked (of course that includes liberals). We could do more if we were not bogged down in Iraq.

We have not been attacked because we are going after the terrs as opposed to letting them come here and kill us again. And can you believe there are millions of Americans (mostly Democrats) who disagree with this? Why would any American want us to be attacked again? Could it be because they think that another attack might advance their political ideology? Only a Democrat could think this...
