First, you draw a five pointed star. If you have to put two straight lines on the star in order to make 10 triangles (no four sided areas are allowed to be left) where would you place the two lines?

This is a "I'm not equipped for this kind of homework" help...Thank You and blessings!!

Draw the star big, with the point upwards. For clarification, going clockwise, name the five triangles that you start with, just for an example Triangles A, B, C, D and E.

Now, you have a pentagon in the center of the star, with its point facing downward. Draw the two straight lines inside the pentagon, from the point upwards to the left (where A and E touch) and to the right (where A and B touch).

You now have three smaller triangles inside the pentagon. From left to right, we'll label them F, G, and H. Now, you have eight total triangles. Now, add D with F, and they form a bigger triangle, and the same with H and C, also form another triangle. That gives you ten.
