Honestly no,

How ever these other people have been finding or blocking their phone is crap.

I sell Cingular and in our company Tmobile and Cingular phones are the most commonly stolen phones because you do not need anything but a SIM card to use it.

The IMEI could be traced if they told the service provider the IMEI but all they have to do is put a new SIM card in there and there is no way for anyone to know any different.

Orange will block the IMEI and then advose all the other networks as a misplaced phone. Effectively the mobilephone is vain. If you want to say it is lost you're going to have to make a police reportas a part of the phrases and stipulations of a valid declare. Making a false file is just not endorsed. High-quality choice is simply to get it exchanged.

it seems u are facing the same problem as i was facing a month ago..

what i did was filed a complaint to the police and gave the complaint report to the service provider..by doing this i could make sure that my sim was not being misused and i was given a replacement sim..

to block the handset u need a unique key of the mobile..this is called in various names like IMEI NUMBER for Nokia handsets etc..it would be printed on the box...all u have to do is report this number to the police and ur cell will be blacklisted...hence any furthur use of that cell will be instantly noticed and the culprit might get traced if the police is efficient enough..

hope this provided u with a feasable solution...

if yes then dont forget to mark mine as the best answer..hehe..

enjoy.

Call Your Provider and Give The IMEI Number

IMEI Number Blacklist of stolen devices
When mobile equipment is stolen or lost, the operator or owner will typically contact the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) which blacklists the device in all operator switches so that it will in effect become unusable, making theft of mobile equipment a useless business.

Then the phone is useless =0p...

yeah., you need the IMEI number, which is the serial number.

Call your mobile provider, I think they should have it.

You really need to block the SIM card as it is like a credit card and you phone provider may charge you for calls that were made when the phone was out of your possession until when you realise.

Hope this helps

It might be possible to do so by calling the phone company and reporting the ESN lost. That is the serial # for the actual phone, if I'm not mistaken. Try calling their customer service department and see what they say.

This is only possible if the IMIE number is registered with your mobile phone supplier.

They can black list the phone. But they will require the IMIE
