The justification: Fuel savings for employees, 5 to 4 days driving days a week= quick 20% cost reduction in gas@ 1 tank per week=$425.00 per year
Take that out of my crummy 3% cost of living increase and give me an extra day off!.

I work at a resort and just talked to a lady this morning who was checking out that said she works 4 days a week, 10 hours a day! I think it's a lovely idea....but what about all of us that work in places that NEED someone working around the clock? What about the service people who wait on you when you go out to eat, or the bartenders who serve your drinks??? I'd love to work 4 days, it's just not logical in my business...

We should all walk around acting French. Then the 4-day work week will just come about naturally.

Move to France...anything over 32 hours a week is overtime, plus it's a law that all citizens get so many days (I think 45) of vacation time every year. Not to mention free healthcare for all citizens...

Why go through all of the work of petitioning & lobbying for a 4-day work week? Why not make it a 3-day work week?

There are people who work 4x10, 3x12, 5x8....
A universal 4 day work week means 1 less day to make money - how dare you advocate cutting into MY income potential!

1.) If you go into business for yourself, you can run your company any damn way you want!
2.) If you're working for someone else, do a cost-benefit analysis to show your boss how much company the company would save, how much morale would improve, etc. Appeal to his self inteterst, i.e., the bottom line.

Instead of cutting down to a four day work week, why don't we just hand over sovereign power of our nation to the Chinese. It'll save time.
