That is the goal of the majority of our politicians. The public views it as democracy and prosperity for all -- the elimination of the poor class and the rich class. The truth is that a global governance, by sheer logistics, must be totalitarian and bureaucratic to be able to manage it. The world will be made up of communities. Everyone will be required to work for their community. Individual rights will be a thing of the past. The community is the highest good. The individual becomes dispensable when he cannot serve the community. An individual will only have value in so far as he serves the community well. No philosophy will be allowed that disturbs the community. Free speech will end. The individual will be entirely dependent on the community in every way. You will always have to go along to get along. What do I think about it? I love freedom, and global governance is contrary.

Globalization is inevitable but what kind of globalization is it to be isn't. Globalization as envisioned wants to break down borders of today so as to remove Enviromental laws and programs, being able to move unfettered by treaties, agreement or any pacts with governments (which won't exist) unions or smaller companies. Basically having no legal or moral obligations to the world. Globalization as proposed is to be only for the benefit of the international companies, freeing them from even the lip service laws that suggest they are to provide some return to the people for the resources they plunder and the labour they exploit? Is globalization simply to enrich the corporate purse or to uplift all? That is the question that faces us about globalization. The Neo-con policies that see all the boats rise with the tide and money poured on top of the hill will trickle down forgets that if the boat is tied down the tide sinks it and there are awful deep pockets the coins are being poured into on top of that hill. This is the basis for what is meant today by globalization. It is but a rationalization for corporate pillage, the embodiment of the old motto "What is good for GM is good for the US" on a world wide stage. The present template must be rejected and a more human program be put in it's place.

Globalization is not leading to all countries merging into one country, although it is leading to important changes.
Globalization - especially economic changes function because of individual states - providing the infrastructre and legal framework and law and order to allow foreign trade and investment. This can in some circumstances strengthen certain aspects of the nation state.
Also capitalism does not function the same in all countries especially comparing say England, France, China and USA and they do not look likely to converge anytime soon.

The key question is under what system of government?
If it is a system somewhat like we have in the US (or at least how it is intended to be) where the states generally have strong powers to run themselves and answer to a weaker federal government whose main purpose is to regulate interstate commerce, then yes, that would be wonderful.
However, if the system is some sort of socialist setup where some authoritarian central body tries to set the rules for all localities and cultures and attempts to assume the role of big brother by "taking care" of individuals from cradle to grave, definitely not.
Even worse would be a system under a fundamentalist religious based regime who's governs based on some arbitrary religious dogma (like those sweeping contemporary politics in the middle east). Terrifying...

I think that the reason Bush and the global elite are working so hard for this, and working so hard to decieve us all into accepting it, is because they want to establish a global tyranny.. they have something to hide and the only way to keep this "secret" from the masses is to control us all and distract us with american idol and tom and kate and such.. I believe this secret that they know is the true origin of our humanity. what we really are, spiritually speaking, what we came from, and where we will go unless we give up our rights and freedoms.

What do you think the World Bank, United Nations, and the neo-con Fascists are trying to accomplish?
The NEW WORLD ORDER is one big totalitarian, big-brother, world where the HAVES can beat us HAVE-NOTS into the dirt, while they wallow in their power. We are one war away.
How incredibly unbelievable that the neo-con Fascist Nazi accolytes are stupid enough to believe these evil bastards. Apparently the politics of HATE, OPPRESSION, DISCRIMINATION, and FEAR still work, as HITLER once proved. I had thought we were beyond that.
God bless us all.
