If you carefully look at the last fifty years of "peace" you will find many times that one country sent soldiers into a neighboring (or not so neighboring) country for military actions. The Baltic states in the 1990's, Russia in the southern "former Soviet states," various coups in African nations, even the Syrian domination of Lebanon could be examples. Israel may not have done the "right" thing. But their response was not unwarranted or unusual to terrorist attacks on a sovereign state.

What did they get away with? Trying to defend themselves? That tiny country is surrounded on all sides by terrorists sworn to destroy them. Israel did what the US should be doing -- going after the suicide bombers and killers, the same ones who attacked us on 9-11. I am no fan of Bush and he didn't do enough to help Israel.

Because of Israeli refusal to end its occupation according to the UN 242 resolution and Israel want to keep Palestinian land that was never part of Israel and look Israel is wrong for occupying Lebanese land and kidnapping Lebanese civilians for years. If you do not know that do not blame other people for you ignorance

U mean killing 1000 civilians,destroying the infrastructure of a country,using forbidden weapons,killing UN observers and not have to pay for a single thing?I don't think so...
Germany is still paying for what Hitler did in WW2...

You mean like respond militarially to an unprovoked attack? Actually, what is unique about Israel is that they are criticized when they defend themselves from islamofascists.
This is Alice in Wonderland time. We have apparently forgotten who the bad guys are. Clue: They are the ones who deliberately target civilian areas with indiscriminate rocket attacks in order to inflict the most domestic terror.
