I get emails from people who say they've put a curse on me all the time. Nothing happens.

These may sound like cliches, but

1. The power of voodoo is the superstiton and fear of it.
and
2. If you have Jesus, you don't have to be afraid of them.

The practice of Vodou originated from Africa. I practice Haitian Vodou. Our practices come mostly from the Fon, Dahomey, Kongo, Benin, and Nago nations. Vodou as it is practiced in African does vary a bit from what I practice, however the core beliefs are the same.

We honor our ancestors, serve the lwa, and praise Bondye (God). If there is indeed a curse put on you, it would not be from someone that practiced Vodou. We don't believe in cursing others. Vodou is about helping the community, your family, and the house members.

Curses are thrown by Bokors. They are not associated with Vodou at all. Most Bokors are part of secret societies or throw magic on their own. Are you sure the curse was from a Bokor? You should get someone that will be able to divine for you and tell if it is indeed a curse. If it is a curse, a Mambo or Houngan will be able to help you get rid of the curse.

You don't say sort of curse... Voodoo is powerful, but like any spell, a curse is easy enough to break. Sit in a circle of salt with one black candle and one white. Light the black candle saying 'I light you to return this curse of a negative behaviour' then light the white saying 'I return it to sender, replacing it with a positive favour' see the curse lifting in your minds eye and returning to

I don't know much about Voodoo, but I do know you have to believe in it to work. Try what the witches do....burn a white candle, get some sage, light it, blow it out, and fan the smoke all over your house (aka Sumdging)
