I am the chair woman for the Clarkton Park Fund Committee and we are doing anything and anythign we can to get new equipment for our park. We are trying to bring our communittee closer together and we want to start with the children. Also if anyone can think of anything they would legally be able to do at a fundraiser it would be very helpful. I am trying to come up with new and fun things to do for the kids, teens, and adults. Thank you

If you are looking for travelling carnivals - please consult one of your local churches who have had carnivals in the past. They will be able to help you concerning this.

If you'd like the children to help with a fundraiser, how about consulting (again) your local churches to see if you could use their kitchens (which tend to be larger) and get a group of parents to supervise small groups of children who, when broke up into smaller groups, all do a project of baking cupcakes. Some children could open boxes of cake mix and put it in bowls, some children could crack the eggs and put them in, some children could put the water in, and then all the children could take turns stirring all the ingredients together and then they all could take turns pouring it into the cup cake paper holders. The adults could then put the pans into the oven and keep an eye on the cupcakes, making sure that they don't burn. While they are baking - the entire process could again be repeated - almost like a conveyor belt - so the next batch of cupcakes will be ready to go into the ovens when the first batch comes out.

After everything is done and cooled down - the kids could then frost and decorate the cupcakes.

This will be entirely be a Children's Bake Sale an should be advertised as so. The children will be proud of their creations and the money will be used for the Clarkton Park Fund Committed to buy new equipment. The children will feel a sense of pride, especially when the new equipment is bought because they will have "bought & paid" of it themselves.

Have a lovely rest of the day and Good Luck with this.

Try contacting some of your local civic organizations, such as the Jaycees, lions club, masons, etc. These groups often put on carnivals for fund-raisers. I have been involved in a few myself, but that was years ago, in south louisiana.
But more than likely, someone with one of those groups can give you info on the subject.
If you are very very good at talking, and there is a helicopter company not too far from you, you might get them to give rides for a share.
Doesn't bring in a fortune, but a bake sale always works.
A television or radio auction is fun, too.
