My fish will sit there blowing bubbles to the top of his bowl, seeming depressed, then the next day he will be trying to jump out of his bowl, then the next day he will swim in circles ALLLLL day long......... maybe I should feed him some of my antidepressants or antipsycotics..... no that was just a joke but really I do have them and he really does this.

I think fish can have some sort of mental problem. I have one. He stays upside down attached to the filter all day and only moves when it is feeding time. I thought he was dead the first few times I saw this but now I have just come to the conclusion that he is crazy.

Your fish is a male betta splendens and he is acting quite typical. The bubbles are his nest and his crazy swimming is to attract a female. . . The nature of reproduction. Not to mention all fish have personalities, he just happens to be an athlete. :)

GET IT A BIGGER TANK LIKE A 10 GALOON ONE AND ADD MORE PLANTS AND THINGS SO THAT IT'S HAPPY. MAYBE IT'S BORED AND BLOWS BUBBLES FOR FUN OR SWIMS IN CIRCLES FOR FUN. ALSO MAYBE WHERE THEY HAD IT BEFORE HE WASN'T SO LONELY HE HAD SOMEONE ELSE OR ANOTHER FISH. THESE ARE JUST SOME IDEAS

If his keeper posts such a question out on Yahoo Q&A I'd say there's a pretty good chance they are.

Birds of a feather flock together (or in your case... fish) . Seems to me like you picked the right pet to match your personality?

Now... ask yourself why it bothers you so much and he seems just fine with it BECAUSE he can't take meds to "Fix" it.

Don't worry about it, fish are fish. They are not human so you can't always give them a human problem. Let him swim about and do his thing.
