I love our President and think he is doing a great job protecting this country. I think his message gets lost sometimes when he can't speak as succinctly as we would like him to.
I'd rather have it this way than a good liar in office!

Sami V - What does the fact that the President was a cheerleader have to do with his ability to be President?
I was a cheerleader in High School and am now the head of 3 middle school cheer squads. I LIKE cheerleaders!

Yes, absolutely, I have a communications degree. When I look at how he speaks he uses to many vocalized pauses (um, yeah, like), aside from that, he doesn't use a lot of rhetoric (persuasive discourse). I think America would be more welcoming of his message and his hard work if they were better able to understand him.

Apart from that though, Clinton was a great public speaker, and an even better liar, and quite possibly his administration was solely responsible for failing to plug Osama in Tora Bora.

BY THE WAY 'hichefheidi' WHY DON'T YOU GO BACK TO TORA BORA WHERE you led the escape of Osama Bin Ladin. BUsh never once during his adminsitration failed to capture Osama when he knew of his whereabouts, but CLINTON DID IT TWICE.

You are an idiot hichefheidi

Well RLP, perhaps you know that President was once a cheer leader but not a public speaker! He did get the Yale training but we cannot expect all Yale graduates to shine well. He is not a good debater and maybe that is why he does not want to go in for an open debate with the Iranian President!
Yes, President Bush does have a problem presenting or communicating his ideas well because he lacks concentration and his brain seems to wander around rather than focus on what he is doing! For instance, while speaking somewhere observing the 5th Anniversary of the 9-11 holocaust, he lost for words and started quoting Osama Bin Laden and even repeatedly said 'death to America'! The only reason he got elected second time was 9-11 and the first time his brother Governor in Florida.
I feel sorry for him!

Poor people, they have to put up with him for two more years!

Cheers and keep smiling!

Yeah...you'll definitely catch a lot of flack on this one. He's not all that intelligent and has only done a mildly sufficient job while in office. His inability to pronounce words doesn't change the fact that he's made countless mistakes and doesn't seem to care. A little bit of humility might do him a bit of good. The Katrina blunder being a leading issue along w/ the failure to produce the WMDs in Iraq. Even his own party has tried to distance itself from him. Time for mid-term elections & his ratings aren't helping his party.

In case you have'nt checked love, he happens to be a fantastic liar. Doing a great job! Really...
I don't live in the States and I think he's an idiot.
If he's doing such a great job, then why were the citizens in the state of Louisiana treated like so called third world citizens and still are by such a great and enigmatic leader and his band of roving mongrels. I sat in horror day after day, I lost time from work sitting like a stone at the telly as the good people of New Orleans died and were abandoned by their government in their time of need. I hurt to this day about this. If you think he's so great, I advise you look at Spike Lee's excellent documentry on the events to enlighten you. He should concentrate on providing care for those within his own borders before seeking to 'protect' you from external boogeys.

No -- I think the content of his message hurts his message.

I disagree with you that he has made this country safer. By invading Iraq, he created more animosity towards our country while letting the terrorists who attacked us go free. This has made us much less safe. Granted, it has made the Bush family and their friends much more wealthy.

By ignoring our laws and the rules of the Geneva Convention regarding prisoners of war, he is turning his back on all that we stand for. By spying on US Nationals without the proper authority he is eroding our rights. How can we invoke any kind of moral authority in the world when our government is trampling on the very freedoms that made our country great?

But you are right that he doesn't commuicate well.

Well, it is a fact he has not gotten the message across. Why? I think our liberal media is responsible along with the democrats who whine because they're out of power and pervert the truth by exaggerating how bad the U.S. and our troops are. Remember when CBS tried to smear President Bush's tour of duty by using bogus documents to say he did not serve honorably? This has NEVER been done in the history of this nation.

Al Gore goes over to Saudi Arabia and tells them the Govt. abused muslims after 9/11. When asked what he meant he said the govt. kicked anyone with expired visas out of the country ... and that's abuse? Then, John Kerry said our troops were terrorizing Iraqi women and children.

I think President Bush is even more of a virtuous man for concentrating on protecting this country from attack than being concerned how the people try to attack him.

Let's first consider what it was he inherited. He inherited a government that did nothing on immigration for a decade; did nothing on terrorism for a decade; did nothing to improve our intelligence for a decade except to tie it's hands; dismantled our military; did nothing for alternative fuels for a decade; had no energy policy for a decade and didn't resolve the middle east crisis while Saddam Hussein thumbed his nose at the U.N. and bought out leaders there and in France, Russia, Germany, and China.

Since then, President Bush has improved our intelligence, took a leadership role on fighting terrorism, has taken Saddam Hussein out of power, installed a democratic government in Iraq, dismantled Alquida and the Taliban in Afghanistan and Pakistan making those countries allies on the war, revealed the fact that Saddam Hussein was not "contained" but was financing terrorism, exposed that our "allies" were being bought out by Saddam, has made our economy recover after the 9/11 attack, has reduced our taxes, exposed the bias in the media.

Toby Keith said:
I consider myself a conservative democrat and I am often embarrassed for my party. George W. got my endorsement and I performed for him the night before his re-election, because he asked me to. He's got the toughest job on the planet and I will support my president

If you honestly think the president is just a bad speaker and not a liar then you seriously need to pay more attention to the world around you. just recently he admitted to the secret CIA camps that he had continually denied their existence until the evidence became to great against him to still try to lie.

George Bush? Communication skills? LMAO!!! Yeah, he did a great job protecting us on 9/11, didn't he? Perhaps if he listened to his SPEECH WRITERS, he wouldn't sound so dumb. Perhaps if he listened to his advisors, we would have been out of Iraq by now. But, he has his own agenda. I'm glad you like him, but he is a liar, even if you believe his lies. I long for the days when the most controversy surrounding a president was a stain on a dress...

Me too! I think he is a good man and previously to being President gave great speeches.I think the media harping and mocking him has affected him.But facts are there have been no Terrorists staying at the White house like the previous President had,and there have been to more lapses in security since he has been in office.I trust him alot more than someone from the left who thinks you can be friends with Terrorists.

I think his message gets lost when he tries to speak in Washingtonese. If he could talk to the American people in the style he did when he was running for office in 2000, or when he was Governor of Texas he would be able to get his message across a lot better.
