well science could go under health...so a lot.
things such as bird flu..once the cure is discovered a new strain will come..and this could go in a nearly never ending cycle.
discoveries: well time machines, brain powered computer [although this is currently being made, making the computer have the same conections as a human brain!]
and there will always be more space...
what would i like to invent??
well..ive thought of making a car that runs on water spinning the turbine making it move. only problem is the amount of water it would need and the angle would make one HUGE car!
= p

Look at this way so far everthing humans have thought about before we had technology. We have found a way to make it happen like flying, horseless carriages, machines to to do repeative work, lights with out burning wax etc. Humans will find ways to make things happen. However there this is a double edge sword as One half look to improve human life they the other side look to destroy it. We always look for other technologies most are are driven but by the reward factor. Or to defeat some other technology eg radar verus stealth. I think we have only touched the surface of what we can discover. Like shield technology, antigravity, holographic television, We didnt have didnt have telly 60 yrs ago now we have flat screens from black and white to colour.
Given that chance I would invent a replicator machine like in Star Trek so that every home had one and been able to replicate anything they wanted. Would hopefully get rid of greed.

well, they probably said the same at the end of the industrial revolution, but then along came tv's and computers, and mp3 players. There is probably loads mroe to invent, but until you have either a brilliant brain wave, or you get a problem to solve, you arn't going to think of anything.
It's like all things, until you find something you can't do, and thing "we really need a ............" it doesn't exist. Someone has to come up with a 'gap in the market' as it were, before anything else is invented.

But i must say, a time machine would be good. However, this is never going to exist, as surely someone would have come back to stop Hitler coming into power, or terrorists attacking new youk/london/madrid etc. And someone would know NOW, as someone would not have been able to keep in the secret that they actually came from 2542 or whatever.

This is just the begining of the science age. Future? Advances regrowth of organs using stem cells hence extending the lifespan of a human by a considerable ammount, Cold Fusion, solving the world,s energy probglems, Advancement in Nano technology, Computers exceeding the processing abilities of the human brain. I could go on and on the list is unending. Future holds a lot of promises for us humans, only if we could end ethnic, religious conflicts, eradicate poverty, unite as one and march forward in this scientific age.

I would invent the time machine if it was possible but we do not know, in future this could very well be possible.

The most important next invention is a genetically-engineered bug which eats scrap plastic and excretes crude oil. When we have made it, we have to teach it to explore for its food but come home to do its poo-poos.

nao-filliment augmentation!

Plug a computer into your brain and whole nervous system: never forget anything, be connected to the next gen net, sense enhancement, information... In fact anything in any good SF book.

Though really my personal creation would be instantaneous telelocation.
