I lived in Germany for 3 years, so I got to see the difference between us and a lot of different cultures. Americans tend to be loud (almost to the point of obnoxious), generally friendly, hands-on, touchy feely types that like everything BIG and think they're always right. Europeans tend to be a little more reserved in a lot of things.

It is hard to stereotype a whole country (as someone said) but a thing i know for sure of most american is they don't care about other cultures, they don't care about learning other languajes, etc. No offese, but the most of them are like that, not all of course.

Well, if you were to go with the average American...they'd probably be blue collar, overweight, middle-class and white or mixed-race. They would like sports, beer and take-out. Probably practice some form of Christian religion.
But it's really hard to categorize the typical because there are so many that don't fit into that mold. If you want to see a typical American, go to Wisconsin or somewhere in the south.

He thinks Scotland is in London. He got a big belly, drives a gas guzzling truck.
He voted for bush- BOTH TIMES.
He wears a baseball cap, with sunglasses perched ON TOP of the baseball cap. He has a funny beard round about his mouth, but shaves the side of his face. He is ignorant.
he is TERRIFIED- actually physically terrified- of his boss.
He uses the word "AWESOME" surprisingly frequently.
He thinks that God is on his side.

I think that the place is so big that you get massive cultural differences. People upon visiting the USA have told me: they're all immensely fat, they're all immensely fit, they all think that they rule the world or they all are exceptionally pleasant.

Are you kidding? A stereotype is a belief system people should try to overcome, not seek to define.
