It's not hype it's true. It hurts like hell if it isn't done right. Why don't you try sticking two fingers in your @$$ and see how it feels. Hurts huh? Well it should have if you didn't use any lubrication or had "foreplay". Pain and pleasure are very closely related and can easily be confused. But remember, porn stars are actors and just playing a role. They probably aren't in a great deal of pain, but most guys would like to believe that they are. If you do something often enough, it hurts less. Their muscles in the area have stretched so they can more easily accomodate. And remember, they're getting paid to act like they enjoy it! That being said, there are many women who enjoy anal, and for that matter, many women who find vaginal sex painful, so there's always variation. But the short answer for why they don't seem uncomfortable is (1) they're used to it; and (2) they're getting paid.

They're just use to it by now. I think if you do anything long enough you'll adjust to the feel. So if they do this on a daily base, which is usually the case since this is their job that area is loose enough to take it. From what I hear it's really better then having intercourse through the kitty kat, and that you have a better orgasm this way.

I think it is because they are soooo numb they don't even care any more. OR another good reason is because they just did a line in the other room so all they are thinking about is the next line they are gonna snort after this guy is done.
Or another good reason is because they have been doing it soooo long they just honestly don't feel it anymore. :) I'm sure it hurts at first and after a few thousand times, it's no big deal. ;-)

It does hurt. Most of the porn "actors" are experienced in receiving and giving it---most people don't take all the precautions (lubrication, angle of penetration) etc.
And its not something most women like--and if you aren't either experienced, relaxed or excited enough, it can be both painful and sometimes harmful.
