Today the world is tormenting and has become den of several criminal crimes such as war, graft and corruption, terrorism, rebellion, cheating, drug addiction, rape, smuggling, kidnapping, sex slavery and prostitution, child abuse, spousal abuse, and other heinous crimes.

1. Keep my own house in order. I can't help others unless I am in a position to first take care of myself.
2. Bring my kids up right.
3. Be an example to others.
4. Support programs/instiutions that give alternatives to crime.
5. PRAY
6. Report crimes.
7. Protect myself and my family.
8. Be a good neighbor and help those around me.

Laws vary by country, so there isn't one single standard to which individuals or groups can be held. The most any individual can do is treat the people around you with respect, and if you have children treat them well and help them become successful adults who can pass along positive traits to their own offspring. Of course, it also helps if you don't live in an area of extreme poverty & deprivation.
