Thanks for that first answer. To be more specific, what I'm asking is how can I send an email from my PC to a vireizon phone that will appear as a text (SMS) message?

You need internet acces (WAP) on your phone(Many mobile providers have it). You phone must support it. Then setup your current POP email address account on you phone. Then you have email. Be careful if your mobile provider charges you for bandwidth usage(ex. $1 per megabyte). I know tmobile has tzones unlimited WAP. Not sure about Verizon, cant find it on their site.
