If you are stressed out, your body tends to adapt to the changes that's going on with you. Did you change medications during the last 21- 28 days? That too can have an affect. Worse scenario could be if you are pregnant and are miscarriaging and not knowing. I have experience all three, so you might want to go to a doctor if you continue to ensure everything is alright.

It could depend a bit on your age. I wonder how old you are? If you are older (35 to 55) it could be the beginning of perimenopause. This can cause strange periods....some long ones...then some skipped ones....some heavy...some light..e.t.c. This is the beginning of the end of your period cycle...which could take ten years to complete.
If you are young, I would consult your doctor. I have no idea what could cause it...but it could be something you should really talk to your doctor about.

Maybe nothing's wrong. How old are you? Menopause?
Keep a calendar and track your periods for a while, make a note of extra-long periods and see if it keeps happening. If you end up going to see your doctor, that may be valuable to him. Also, if you're that worried, call your doctor and ask him about it.

Have you been sexually active? Sometimes that will screw with your period- or if it goes on for 2 weeks- you could be having a miscarraige- if the cramping gets bad and you continue to bleed for 2 weeks I would see a doctor

It could be due to a medication your taking or a health problem. Periods do change in time with your body, but if your really concerned, go and see your doctor.

Don't know your age. Could it be approach of menopause? Maybe fibroids, stress.Stopped your pill at the wrong time? Could be just one of those things that happen once and not again. I'd wait until your next period and if things are'nt right, see your nurse.Hope the problem resolves itself

Lots of answers. Could just be a lot of blood, or it could be a sign of endometriosis. If it is painful, this is also a sign. If it persists, go to the docs, or Gyno.
