YES. Cocaine can damage your nasal passages, as well as cause the walls of your blood vessels and heart to thin. The tough part is, the drug isn't physiologically addictive the way Heroin is, so you can remain a functional member of society with a moderate-to-heavy coke addiction much longer than you can with a similar addiction to "hard" drugs. Still, in the end, it will damage your body and your wallet.
Finally, and perhaps more importantly, unless you know your dealer very well, and s/he in turn trusts the supplier, you don't know what your rootie tootie's been cut with. Laxative and baking soda are pretty common, but for all you know, some jackass cut your marching powder with Bar Keeper's Friend. That would not be good.
Enjoy the occasional recreational high if you want, but realize that any and all narcotics, unfortunately, have bad long-term side effects.

Cocaine can expose undetected/undiagnosed heart conditions that can prove dangerous, it also puts a strain on the liver even more so as it is usually consumed with alcohol. Cocaine is also linked with psychosis and other psychological problems/disorders. Essentially though the medical problems predominantly are amongst regular users that have been exposed to the drug for a period of time, but the heart complications can develop in anybody at any time. With almost any drug there are Hazards and the common good advice would be NOT TO TAKE THEM.
Other serious dangers include contamination of the cocaine with some other harmful chemicals, and behavioural dangers from being under the influence.

Cocaine is a potent central nervous system stimulant. Its effects can last from 20 minutes to several hours, depending upon the dosage of cocaine taken, purity, and method of administration.
The initial signs of stimulation are hyperactivity, restlessness, increased blood pressure, increased heart rate and euphoria. The euphoria is sometimes followed by feelings of discomfort and depression and a craving to experience the drug again. Sexual interest and pleasure can be amplified. Side effects can include twitching, paranoia, and impotence, which usually increases with frequent usage.
With excessive dosage the drug can produce hallucinations, paranoid delusions, tachycardia, itching, and formication.
With chronic cocaine intake, brain cells functionally adapt to strong imbalances of transmitter levels in order to compensate extremes. So receptors disappear from or reappear on the cell surface, resulting more or less in an "off" or "working mode" respectively, or they change their susceptibility for binding partners.
All these effects contribute to the rise in an abuser's tolerance thus requiring a larger dosage to achieve the same effect. The lack of normal amounts of serotonin and dopamine in the brain is the cause of the dysphoria and depression felt after the initial high.
Cocaine abuse also has multiple physical health consequences. It is associated with a lifetime risk of heart attack that is seven times that of non-users. During the hour after cocaine is used, heart attack risk rises 24-fold.
Side effects from chronic smoking of cocaine include chest pain, lung trauma, shortness of breath, sore throat, hoarse voice, dyspnea, and an aching, flu-like syndrome. A common misconception is that the smoking of cocaine chemically breaks down tooth enamel and causes tooth decay. However, cocaine does often cause involuntary tooth grinding, known as bruxism, which can deteriorate tooth enamel and lead to gingivitis
Cocaine may also greatly increase this risk of developing rare autoimmune or connective tissue diseases such as lupus, Goodpasture's disease, vasculitis, glomerulonephritis and other diseases. It can also cause a wide array of kidney diseases and renal failure. While these conditions are normally found in chronic use they can also be caused by short term exposure in susceptible individuals.
Hope this helps, from reading this information I do not understand how an individual could put themselves in this position

It messes up the brain, increases the heart rate (when on it), can cause major damage to your nose if you do it alot, and some like to rub it on their teeth and gums. My brother had a problem with the stuff and rubbed it on his gums all the time...they deteriorated away. It's disgusting. I'm sure they are plenty more side effects.
