you know just be her friend for now, just don't become the rebound man, I mean right now she is vulnerable cause she just broke up with her boyfriend... just help her to heal ,but give it time little by little, she will trust you and your feelings toward her..
good luck,,,,,

Well I guess first things is; Does she fancy you? If so then you need not wait any time. If she needs more time she will tell you and if not there you go. If she does need some time then you just let her know that you would like to take her out when she is feeling ready and then whatever you do DON'T push.

if she is the one who dumped him then it will take less time than if he dumped her. if he broke up with her then wait and at least try and b friends with her until she is bak 2 her normal self around boys. if she broke up with him it can still hurt her so wait about a month until u make ur move. then write on a peice of paper that she has a secret admirer and if she wantes 2 meet him go to a aquiet part in ur skool yard or building 2 find out who it is. b considerate and say that u have waited a while 2 ask her out and u wud really appreciate it if she wud go out with u. then its all u baby

Give her about a month, depending on how serious it was and how long they were together. Now, if this is like a school aged girl, she may only need a few days or a week.. lol.
And ask her face to face if she will be your girlfriend.

How about instead of asking her out directly you let her know that your interested in her but respect the fact she just broke up with her boyfriend. "I know you just broke up with your boyfriend and probably need some time to deal with that, but I just wanted to let you know that I would really like to take you out on a date sometime when your ready to start dating again."

well it depends on what your intentions are. if you just want to "hit it", ask her out immediately to a bar or ask her to come over to your place get her drunk and handle your business. If you want a relationship try to just be available, talk to her any chance you get, feel her out first, see if she is over the ex, find out what she likes and then make your move. depending on what she likes surprise her with a concert date or something like that...a no pressure kinda date.
