I know cannabis is legal in the coffee shops, but what about outside, in a park ect?

Is it legal to smoke outdoors in Amsterdam. I know it's legal in coffee shops, but what about walking down the street, parks, ect?

It is still illegal, however the police ignore it. If you were to cause a problem or be involved in something, then they would be able to prosecute you for it. Just don't flaunt it and you will be ok.

Walking down the streets and in parks it will not be a problem unless you are causing other problems. Just don't smoke joints in restaurants and other buildings that are not coffeeshops, people will not like it. But then again, you will not end up in prison for it, you will just annoy many people, and they might kick you out.
Outside should be just fine. Just don't overdo it with showing off.
And like others say here, it is still not legal, it is tolerated.

It is illegal and depending sometimes on the officer's mood whether they want to say something. In Amsterdam it's not such a big deal, besides it being illegal there too. Outside Amsterdam, it's not common and police will address to you sooner if they notice.
In Amsterdam you will notice the smell of it everywhere.

It depends in which town you are how strict the police is. Mostly they will leave you alone, but if you are in a children play area they probably will forbid it. But if you are in an area in the park were it bordered no one it shouldn't be a problem.
It's not normal in most places to smoke a joint on the street. Also not all Dutch people find it normal.

It's tolerated so long as you're not bothering anyone.
In park, away from kids: okay
Downtown Amsterdam at night: okay
In front of a provincal police station: stoooopid.

People do it, and as far as I know as long as you're not disturbing the peace no one will stop you.

depends on which country. where i am, it is illegal to even possess it.
