I'm a very sarcastic person. I'd like to hear from those of you out there who do not appreciate sarcasm. Why? Do you think it's mean? Do you have a hard time knowing when a person is and isn't being sarcastic? What is the deal with with that? Just seems like there are some people out there who cannot handle sarcasm. I'm truly trying to understand why and step into the shoes of the person who doesn't like it to see it from your perspective. Thanks!

and this is for robert V
Sarcasm is sneering, jesting, or mocking a person, situation or thing. It is strongly associated with irony, with some definitions classifying it as a type of verbal irony[1] -- stating the opposite of the intended meaning, e.g. using "that's amazing" to mean "that's awful". It is often used in a humorous manner and is expressed through vocal intonations such as over-emphasizing the actual statement or particular words. Use of sarcasm is sometimes viewed as an expression of concealed anger[2].

i am very sarcastic, whatever i say is very very sarcastic, and it drives my friends crazy. i don't know why though either, maybe it just gets on peoples nerves after a while. But i think that sarcasm is a good thing!!!.
If you want to see what it is like to be a victim of sarcasm, get a friend or relative to be sarcastic with you until you can't take it any-more.
I've tried it, but it just makes me even more sarcastic!

There's always a time for sarcasm. Sometimes people don't feel validated when, automatically, one resorts to it.
