I have been late for my period for 2 months now. Last month I was about 3 days late, nothing to be worried about. Then this past month, I really thought I was pregnant, but my period came and was about 10 days late. I had a normal period for about 5 days (which is the norm for me for I usually have my period for about 4-5 days) then I thought it had stopped. Then 2 days later I spotted a little that was brown and then pink. On the 3rd day, which is today, I got up out of bed and felt something so I went to the bathroom and there was huge clots of blood. (sorry to be so graphic) I have had some minor clottiing before, but NEVER this much. What can this be from? I am 34 years old and my periods have pretty much been regular until the past 2 months, which I have been under alot of stress, so I wasnt too concerned about the late periods until I passed these clots today. Is this normal after a late period? Or could I have had a miscarriage?

Yes it could of been.... I would take a pregnancy test to see if it is positive.... even if you just had a miscarriage it will still show up positive because it takes a while (few weeks) for you hormone levels to go down. If it comes up positive then get to a doctor to make sure you are okay and everything left.... sorry if that is gross but I have been on this road a few times. Good Luck Hun and I am sure things will be back to normal in no time... BTW even the cheap tests are good test.

These sound like the symptoms my mom had with her endometreosis. She had a cyst that was blocking her flow so when it did come out it was late and clotted. She was 35 and had to have a complete hysterectomy. I hope that is not your problem but you should see a doctor. Even if it is a miscarriage you should be seen to make sure everything passed and you don't need to be scraped. My sis in law never went after she had a miscarriage and ended up getting blood clots on her ovaries. They were discovered when she found out she was pregnant again about 7 months later and the doctor told her she had a high chance of losing the baby or dying if she continued the pregnancy, he recommended abortion which she did and now has a world of regrets of what she could have and should have done to begin with. Don't put your health at risk see a doctor asap.

I am sorry but it sound to me like you had a miscarriage. I had a miscarriage 2 months ago and it was similar to what you are saying, the only difference is that i did not have a period i was about 8 weeks prego and started spotting on Friday afternoon, then Saturday morning started bleeding kind of like a period I went thru 3 pads and them went to the ER once i got there the bleeding was uncontrollable and the Doctors said they could not do anything about it but kept on asking if it was only blood or blood w/blood cloths and when i told them it had blood cloths they said i would be passing blood cloths uncontrollably for about and hour and that's what they consider a miscarriage. I did have some mild contractions that were more like heavy cramps. I would go to the Doctor and have you checked out, I really hope it was not a miscarriage but you passing blood cloths sounds a lot like a miscarriage to me I am very sorry:)

You could have fibroids or cysts on the ovaries, which is what i have and your symptoms sound very familiar, you need to go see your doctor either way but a miscarriage also has a lot of pain associated with it.

You know, if you REALLY want to know, ask a doctor, not those amateur healers on this site. I certainly would not trust my health to Yahoo Answerers. I'd seek PROFESSIONAL advice. See your doctor!!

Chow!!
