I tend to like short games. I was raised on chess, but I have to say my favorite boardgame is a game called Can't Stop, invented by a game designer by the name of Sid Sackson. Sackson designed many games (Acquire and Bazaar are two of the more famous). Sackson died in November 2002.

Can't Stop is a quick dice game which is easy to learn. You can download a version of it called Roll or Don't, or play online at www.brettspielwelt.de. Can't Stop is currently out of print in English, but plans are being made to reprint it soon.

Hope to play you in a game sometime!

At first I was going to answer by saying chess, but I actually enjoy playing Risk far more, just because it takes longer and there's more opportunity to come back from near defeat, whereas in chess once you lose your advantage to the other person you probably will lose the game.

Monopoly. And mixed with a little tequilla, Strip Monopoly. Now who wouldn't want someone to land in "jail?" Take a "chance" anyone? Wanna "take a ride on the..." Haha! I guess I should've placed PG-13 on my answer. But Monopoly has got to be on the top of my list.

"Settlers of Catan". The board is different every time, and to play well requires skill and talent to work with your opponents. Lots of fun and each game lasts about 1.5 - 2 hours.
